Koala FX is proud to celebrate the selection of DAU for the Venezia 83 Competition at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival — one of the world’s most prestigious showcases for international cinema. The film will have its world premiere on 9 September 2026 at the Lido in Venice, alongside some of the year’s most anticipated releases.

We are especially proud that Dasha Sherman, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Koala FX, serves as the film’s Executive Producer, continuing her involvement in the ambitious DAU project.

Koala FX also provided the visual effects for DAU, marking another chapter in our long-standing collaboration with the project. Our work on the DAU universe goes back to DAU. Natasha and DAU. Degeneration, making this latest instalment a particularly exciting full-circle moment for the team.

Directed by Ilya Khrzhanovsky, DAU is the latest chapter in one of contemporary cinema’s most ambitious and unconventional creative projects. Known for its bold artistic vision and boundary-pushing approach to filmmaking, the DAU universe has challenged traditional storytelling while bringing together artists and filmmakers from around the world.
