Richard’s film career began in sound in 2003, spending 15 years as a Sound Supervisor and Re-recording Mixer, earning a BAFTA nomination in 2021 with credits including the 47 Meters Down franchise. He moved into producing in 2007, with his first major success in 2011 on the breakout hit Anuvahood. As co-founder of UK financier Creativity Capital, he has executive produced 27 films and series over the past decade, including the BAFTA-winning documentary McQueen. In 2022, while at Fulwell 73, he produced Boundless, a four-part series and feature film directed by Simon West for RTVE and Amazon Studios.
Since launching the UK production company Big Safari, Richard has produced seven international co-productions, including Get Away, which premiered at Fantastic Fest, and All Night Wrong, starring Zach Cherry and Maria Bakalova. He is also a partner at Architect, an international sales company. Richard’s broad industry experience allows him to support Koala FX clients not only in negotiating VFX deals but also in shaping and greenlighting their productions.
